Dost thou love life? Then do not squander time, for that is the stuff life is made of.

Planning Ahead...
He who every morning plans the transaction of the day and follows out that plan carries a thread that will guide him through the labyrinth of the most busy life… But where no plan is laid… chaos will soon reign.

Tomorrow is a new day...
"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you will begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense."

Prioritizing Your Time
"How we use our time and keep our lives in balance is fundamental to how we will perform our family duties and our Church service. Discipline yourself to follow the prophet's counsel on how you prioritize the use of your time."Begin by discussing with your eternal companion how much time you need together to strengthen your marriage, to demonstrate the love you have for each other. That is your first priority."

Long-Term Planning
Photo: Ben Romney, Europe
Short-term planning is important, but I do not believe in planning less than one week. I think people that are into "day-to-day" planning are just prioritizing crises and they'll find themselves buried in the thick of thin things and managing their lives by crises. The shortest unit of planning should be a week, but that doesn't mean we can't adapt or be flexible.
